Deschutes River Rafting - What to Expect

When and where do we meet - We meet at the Recreation Office at the Seventh Mountain Resort. The resort is located at 18575 SW Century Drive, five miles SW of Bend on the road to Mt. Bachelor. The Office is located across from Seasons Restaurant, above the hill from the parking lot; next to the skating rink. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your departure time.

Reservations - For trip and time of your choice, please make your reservation online or contact Seventh Mountain River Company well in advance to ensure availability. A credit card will be taken to hold your trip time. 24 hour advanced cancellation is required.

What to Wear/Bring - Wear clothes that can get wet and won't fall off! Swimsuit, sport shorts, T-shirts, shoes that stay on your feet - like sandals with straps, tennis shoes, or water socks. Please avoid flip flops. Bring a hat, waterproof sun block, towel for ride back, and strap for sunglasses.

On cooler days- Nylon or Polyester clothes are great, we also rent out splash gear. Avoid wearing cotton. Splash jacket or pant rental is $6 each piece or $10 for both pieces.

Market - We carry an assortment of most necessary river items, including shoes, cameras, sun block, etc.

Rating Scale of Rapids - References to class of rapids is based on the International Rafting Scale of I to VI. I is very easy, and VI is unrunable-like Niagara Falls
